both are important to us, but I feel like my GF is a little into valentine's day than I am our anniversary is only about a month away from valentine's day though so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Neither. I've never felt the need to celebrate an anniversary or V-day. I don't like birthdays either.

Anniversary is just more special to me. We don't really celebrate V day much, but we always try to do more for our anniversary. It's just special because we made it special, nobody told us we had to celebrate love that day.

I guess, really, I should have said both since our anniversary is the day BEFORE Valentine's day, however, I think that anniversary is more important to us.

Plus, we've basically decided to treat them as one day instead of two separate ones.

Depends on what day our anniversary were to fall on.

Also I feel like I've always been in complicated, borderline relationships, where we were almost pseudo-going out for months before finally officially going out, so I feel like it's inappropriate to call the "official" day our anniversary. Also sometimes I feel like I'm psuedo-going out with people when we never officially declare it a relationship

My partner and I are both pretty ambivalent about V-day, so our anniversaries are the important dates for us We didn't do much of anything this past valentine's day, but we always celebrate anniversaries!

For us, February is a like a special occasion Sledgehammer. In a 2 week period, we have Vday, our wedding anniversary, our first met anniversary, both of our birthdays, AND also number of our immediate families bdays. For us, the whole month turns into this one long celebration.
