I have a birthday coming up, and I was trying to think of something to do along a slightly naughty line.

Birthday spankings naturally rose up as a possibility, with a few twists (multiple implements perhaps?), but in previous discussions with my wife I'm pretty sure that she has a friend who has been physically abused (I know it's not her personally), so I don't think the "whack your husband" thing will go too far.

Anyone else have an idea for a nonviolent-but-hot replacement of the "whack a year" sort of thing?

sheeeeeeat, Victoria, could you get any cooler? That is SUCH A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!

So using this later this week - husbands birthday passed last week, but we've been apart this month so we're still waiting to celebrate...and he doesn't like being spanked. Not one bit And he loves fruit rollups...

Another good idea is helium balloons with little notes of things she has to do to or for you. Then use a cute pin and take your time popping each one and enjoy what it tells her to do.

ICK! I think I love the idea, but I'd substitute some good chocolate or tiny bits of cheese.

Don't really know. I don't play with food, but fruit roll ups just wouldn't work for me.

A good hot shower can always be had!

We have played with M&M's once. Those were fun, except for one thing. That candy coated shell cracks and POKES, Scratches and otherwise causes ouchies when sucking and licking off skin.

You could make a list of fantasies for every year and then prioritize the order you might want to start working on turning them into reality...

The discussion alone might earn you a birthday spanking!

Or together create a personalized video of your very favorite hot sex scenes from movies. Collage style. (Might require renting some equipment for the day...)

I don't think so. At one point I asked her to give me a slap several times (playfully), and the result was something that fit squarely in the "nice doggy" class.

Afterwards I found out about the friend.

After hearing from a close friend that was abused, I guess it would be hard to do something that's sort of like abuse. I was slightly abused by a sibling but it never impacted me in that particular way though because of it I would never want to be pretend choked. I have no problems with spanking though.

I guess your wife can't separate that between what you do together?

After hearing from a close friend that was abused, I guess it would be hard to do something that's sort of like abuse. I also have some suggestions. Instead of spanking you how every many times is necessary for however old you are, she could do something else that is sexual in nature. She could give one stroke for each year or do "X" many oral pleasures.

I'm not sure - I backed off after the combination of her being a bit reluctant to "put her arm into it" and finding out about the friend, but the two combinations weren't connected, indeed the conversation about the friend came many days later and in the middle of a non-sexual conversation.

I guess I could ask again about the spanking, and have a backup plan in case she's not interested.

If there are enough toys on hand, you could lay out an array of toys (some for you and some for her), one for each year. Whether or not there are enough toys, different flavored lubes/massage oils could be in the line-up. As could things like a bottle of chocolate sauce, peanut butter, a packet of pop rocks, etc.

alot of people have been physically abused and i doubt that they were spanked with sex toys. i think your safe on not stirring up bad memories or feelings if thats what your feelings are.

It's not spanking with sex toys, it's spanking (her spanking me in this case) in an erotic context. The big thing is that she does not seem to be interested or connect it with possible erotic connotations, and I want to respect her feelings.
