I was just being honest and tried to be as nice about it as I possibly could have been. Just imagine how you would feel if you devoted 2 and a half days to a project and then got outdone by someone who did not put in a whole lot of effort.

It does not take guts to enter a contest. Either you want to or you don't. My entry was not perfect not by a long shot but I was proud of it and I worked hard on it.

My entry was #7 Halloween Craft. I spent 2 and a half days on it. I was proud of my entry and worked hard on it. I am not saying my entry was perfect but it was very good what I did.

I showed the Oh No! to someone else who also agreed with me that it took 10 minutes or less to do it.

I pride myself with my crochet work and have sold several hundred dollars worth of items. I am not a professional but I have recurring customers and have sold in shops locally.

I am not sad about loosing I am just sad about loosing to an entry that was just thrown together. Also, myself and the person I showed that entry too agreed that even it is one toy or a dozen toys should have went in the toy category.

I do know how long it took to make that. I know exactly how they did it. I am also into clay work and that is what they used. I know how they produced it.

And I agree, it was very good. I wish I could do stuff like that, but I only dabble in crocheting. Maybe some people liked the overall idea of one entry rather than the quality? Sorry you feel this way :/

Well. The funny thing is, I actually submitted three entries in three different categories. I spent much more time on the other two while the third one was crammed and hastily made. Surprisingly, the one I crammed was the one that got the most votes. lol.

It really depends on the appeal and target audience I guess. My pretty victorian doll dress just lacked the appeal that the other entries had, even if I worked hard on them. Next time I need to take into account my target audience. It seems that they go for sexy or funny. lol. Just dont fret about it!

So guys, I am really impressed with everyone's submissions, but this was open for community voting. No one knew who submitted what, or what went into each submission, so this was fair. Let's be mature adults, say congratulations to all and then move on. There will be other contests! Promise.

The big blue that is wrapped around the big dildo. It looks like clay to me. That is the only thing that could be flexible enough to be twisted like that.

It's the Sinfive Flow dildo actually... I wanted to incorporate as many toys as I could.

I was not talking about the dildo. Was that clay you used to twist the thing wrapped around the dildo?

Really thick poured fondant =)

I was hoping to win! I was looking forward to the rabbit vibe. I only have one and it doesn't work well with my body. But hey, if I had to lose to someone, that picture was the one! It was very well done. =) Even my boyfriend said he would vote for it haha. Congrats!

For those that commented about what the spider cakes where made of, the head/legs/body are different for a reason.

Like Sam said, it was a project for baking class. We had to incorporate different things into our specialty cakes (meringue, tempered chocolate). I made the body out of a tempered chocolate shell filled with red colored caramel (so when you bit into it, it oozed red 'blood'), and the head/legs are done with airbrushed meringue.

I handed sewed costumes for my batman and robin. Spent hours doing it. I only had my phone to take the photo. But I would never dream of complaining. Im proud of the winners. They were clever and knew their target audience. Congratulations to everyone, you deserve your booty.

Oh, I was wondering since the stuff looked so shiny! I guess the fondant I always encounter is the matte rolled out stuff so I was wondering what it was. haha. Great work!

And yeah, I was shooting for the rabbits too. hihi!
