When do you take your Christmas tree down? I'm ready, like, now but will probably wait until next weekend.

It was down by 5 pm today. I need the ability to banish my children to opposite sides of the living room, and when the tree is up, that is not possible. YAY! Christmas is over!

About two hours ago.

We will take it down this coming weekend (New Years Weekend).
12/27/2011
Ours will probably be up for a while.

Usually within a few days, although we put ours out the day after because the needles were carpeting the living room every time someone breathed in the room.
I regretted informing my FB flist of this, as my normally not commenting friend from high school (who was a hippie pothead surfer and is now a militant conservative) crashed my status and is screaming about how climate change doesn't exist and arguing with with everyone else about choosing between real and fake trees. *facepalm* Apparently, Christmas trees are his hot-button topics to run over people with. I'd tell him to go back to the pot to relax, but he won't listen to me because I'm such a pansy liberal.

Just take down the comments and explain in a comment that you didn't post about your tree to provide a platform for political commentary, it's a Christmas tree, for fuck's sake.

...depends on if we need the space but I prefer to wait all the way till spring! x'D
The pretty lights and that sort of 'warm fuzzy' feeling I get when I look at it is wonderful.
