I made real the other day for the first time. Even though we do most of our cooking from scratch, I had not made cranberry sauce because my husband doesn't like it, but it turns out my kids do. Now, having had both, real cranberry sauce is nothing like what's in the can.

I usually go for canned. I prefer homemade, but I'm the only one in my household who eats it, so it's not worth the time and effort if no one else is going to enjoy it.

I always make my own cranberry sauce and I like it better when it comes to taste. We always have a can anyway because it's a must have.

Never had real, now I need to look up recipes. I do find canned rather sweet.
Can you mix real & canned just to lower the sweetness of canned? Dried cranberries are awesome.
