Desperately needing suggestions!

My partner and I are both relatively mellow people. We don't like going out to bars, and we got all the wild partying out of our systems when we were teens.
We want to have a sort of joint bachelor/bachelorette party, but don't know what to do! We considered a sex toy party, but I've heard a lot of negative things about how overpriced the toys are and stuff like that.
Do you have any suggestions for a fun but relatively low-key celebration?

Casino Royale Night - one of my friends did this for his bachelor party, but it can work for both. Just set up some casino games at home, like poker and roulette and all that. Serve some whiskey, make a great steak dinner, whatever works with the theme.

That sounds like a whole bunch of fun! You could have the strippers as well...some for him and some for you. Just a thought!

A great steak dinner and some drinks would make for a lovely memory for you both. Why not have a great get together with your good friends and leave the shenanigans for other folk? That's what we did 20+ years ago Though I do like the casino night idea....that would be fun!

I know he'd love steak, but none of us (bride, groom, or bridal party) are really into gambling... I'd like to do something that doesn't require going out and spending tons of money, but I also want to make sure it's an event that everyone enjoys and remembers with fondness.

Yeah, it's just a matter of figuring out what to do for it. We've never been very good at planning parties, so we don't know what sort of music to have, if there should be movies or lights, if we should have a schedule or if we should just let the night unfold...

You could always put together your own 'mini' adult themed party? Have raffles for toys, adult games, etc. You could have things for both the men and the women (Pin the penis on the man for the ladies and pin the breasts on the woman for the guys) and have some couple toys, some strokers, and some vibrators. You could always do something silly like dildo fighting (with those nasty but large jelly ones) or blow-up-doll makeout contests.

I personally would opt for no strippers, but that's just my personal preference.

You could also take this opportunity to go out and play games or something less traditional for a bachelor/bachelorette party. My bachelorette party we played whirleyball (like a cross between lacrosse and bumper cars), and my husband's bachelor party was at an arcade. If that's something you guys like to do, get some friends together and throw a small party. Your friends can bring adult themed gag gifts and baked goods, or you can just wear "bride" and "groom" sashes or pins or something.

Okay, no gambling games. Another friend had her bachelorette party at a bowling alley, which can apply to both sexes. If you guys are going to have it in late spring (May or so), you could likely do a cookout. Or even just have a dinner party/potluck with a cocktail station. A wine tasting is also neat. Or maybe have a 'playlist party' where people vote on what music/songs should be played at your reception while you just serve finger foods and whatever drinks the group likes.

Why not have an 'Adult Toy Party' theme? Use some of the catalogs you get with your orders from Edens, affiliate flyers, buy some cheap novelty toys and a couple decent ones for favors, prizes, etc. Auction off some new toys, have adult themed snacks, etc.

I throw some really fun parties, it is a hobby of mine. If you want, message me with your preferences and a budget and I could put together a couple of ideas for you...just for fun.

OR....Have a contest here on the forum for whoever puts together the best party for you???

Another idea if you have the funds is to hire a party planner and then pick his/her brain! I've been to some really cool 'pre-leg shackling' parties planned by a professional.
