I remember growing up seeing kids that didn't celebrate Halloween and they always looked so upset that they weren't getting any candy. Do you celebrate it? Do you let your kids? Did your parents let you celebrate it as a kid?
i love halloween parties

Sometimes my dad's gf gives out candy, or my sister dresses up her dog. I don't really do much, maybe go to a Halloween party with like devil ears if I'm invited, but that's it

it's my favorite holiday and my step son's birthday! i love halloween and the month of october... i am obsessed with horror movies, i love everything horror. i love being able to see kids trick or treating and seeing their creative costumes, giving kids candy and i always remember trick or treating myself and how much fun i had.

there are a lot of christians/ religious people who disagree with the holiday and i understand why they do. they do not believe in it and they don't agree that it came from a pagan holiday... however, what they don't realize is that the christmas tree was actually stolen from a pagan holiday for christmas and that easter also relates back to a female goddess in which rabbits, eggs and fertility were the actual focus. not a lot of people look into the meanings and reasonings behind the holidays they celebrate and it is sad that so many people see halloween as a bad holiday, an evil holiday. it is a day to have fun, let your kids dress up. if you want to talk to them about what it was and why it is... that's your decision but i see nothing wrong with taking your kids door to door, letting them dress up and getting them free candy. just limit their candy intake for the next week... haha
