Do you ever give toys to the Empty Stocking Fund, Marine Toy's for Tots, Safe Shelter, or any of the other organizations that give toys to needy children?
We make it a point to have several holiday parties and admission is always a new, unwrapped toy worth a certain dollar figure, so we can donate them. Our guests (our friends) tend to be very generous, so it works very, very nicely.
Our Friday Night Free Speech Dinner Group all got together last Friday and everyone was supposed to bring a toy worth up to $20. A few couples brought five or six toys!!!! They are going to the children at the Homeless Shelter and Safe Shelters in our town.
Do you do, or participate in anything like that??? (hint, hint)?
