Our lease won't let us have real trees, which saddens me to the core.

I didn't feel like putting up our HUGE fake tree this year, so went and bought a two foot one that is pre-lit. So much easier, and less chance of my toddler trying to climb it! Only thing is, we didn't realize that we bought a BLACK one. Seriously, it's black tinsel. I have seen all types of colors, but never have I seen a BLACK tree. Black is one of our fav colors, so it's pretty cool, but I wanted my son to have something more traditional. Oh well, we are too lazy to return it, so I just put all of our red and silver ornaments on it. It's looks nice. I just wish we had bought a small star for the top. The one we have is for our HUGE tree, so we put it on there, but it is WAY too big. lol

Fake. More convenient, cheap, and eco-friendly. Plus, my parents are from a tropical country where all Christmas trees are fake anyway, so nobody feels like they're missing out on the scent of fresh pine or anything because none of us have ever been used to it!

That stinks! Why the heck not?? As long as you clean up after it, I can't imagine it being a serious problem..

Always fake. They're much easier to manage, some come pre-lit, and clean up is easy.

Real trees, fake ones don't have the lovely tree smell.

Haha! This is a little old isn't it? I love real trees but I'm never allowed to have one!

Always been real. We would go out to a tree farm with the entire extended family. I live away from home now so I miss that tradition but still get my real tree.

I prefer real, but fake is the best option for our tiny one bedroom apt. Our faker isn't even full size, but a mini one. We have to keep it up on a table or bookshelf so the cats don't eat it.

Oh, most definitely real. I love the smell of it. Sure, it's a bastard to clean up, but it's worth it to have the pines whiten naturally, ever so slightly, so that it looks like they're frosted or snow laden.

Fake! They last much longer, and you can leave it up as long as you want.

Real would kick my allergies into high gear and would not stop sneezing all winter long.

We've done something different every Christmas we lived together. The first one, we went to the tree farm and got a real tree. The second one, we borrowed a tiny potted tree from his mom and decorated it. This last year we didn't even bother with a tree because we were at family's house all week.

Back when we use to celebrate it, we just had a fake tree. It's easier!

Fake tree. Less worry about getting it out of the house quickly.

Real. Yeah, it's expensive and it takes a lot of time to clean up, but I like the feel and smell of it.

I love the smell of a real tree, but hate everything else about it. So, overall, prefer a fake tree.

I always go with a fake one because they don't make a mess.

A fake tree because it's better than cutting down a perfectly good tree and then throwing it away. And it's much lower maintenance
