Do you like public attention if you go out on your birthday?

For instance, do you want the wait staff at somewhere you have gone for dinner, stopping and singing "happy birthday" or doing other "displays"?

I won't lie, I like the free stuff

Plus, it can be fun to get birthday attention at the bar.

Yeah, free stuff is nice. I really hate public attention, though, so I'll sacrifice the freebies for privacy.

If I can get a little something free out of it, than it's okay. But just because, eh..not so much.

NO!!! Last year when my husband bought my present, a new .22 rifle, they needed my ID for the background check and obviously--it was my birthday. The whole store knew about it, sang happy birthday, etc. I just wanted out of there!!!! How awfully embarrassing!!!!!!

Same for me, I despise being sung to in public like that.

Not really.

The reason why is most waiters think I'm a little boy, and when they hear how old I am, they still go on calling me "he" and just think I'm a really young looking dude.

Most of the time, I'm with my family when this happens and my family doesn't know I'm trans*/ they think I'm super feminine despite the rest of the world thinking I'm masculine. It makes things uncomfortable

I'm not too big a fan of the public attention. The free desserts can be nice, but it's not worth the singing.

I like attention and lots of it privately but not publically and especially not a Happy Birthday song in a restaurant. Besides they always try to jazz up the song and often times I can't distinguish what they're really singing.
