Is it ok to ask someone to be your quote-on-quote "Valentine" if you've been dating for 4 months?

Contributor: OrangeKushBB OrangeKushBB
I met this guy in one of my college classes, and we've become really close. We spend at least 3 nights a week together and talk daily. I asked him to be my valentine, which sounds ridiculous, but I've never really had a valentine before....anyways, he said yes, but I want to know - do you guys think it's too soon? I recently got out of a 3 year relationship and it's the first guy I've really fallen for.

If you guys have been dating for 4 months...do you really need to ask to be Valentines? I mean, I can see asking someone to be your Valentine if you guys were just friends or whatever, but you guys seem to be past that point already. Go out and have fun!

That's definitely not too soon to ask. I mean, it's just a fun holiday. Go out, have fun, enjoy eachother's company. It doesn't have to be a serious thing.

I agree here. Taking it to the next level, however, is one of patience that will grow stronger over time only if it's meant to be! Good luck!

Have fun with it! Asking someone to be your valentine isn't a serious thing.

It's fun to go all-out for Valentine's day.

Just seems childish to ask someone to be your Valentine, so just ask if he wants to hang out.

I don't think it's too soon at all. Good luck and have fun . And don't do anything I wouldn't do! (Don't worry, there's very little I wouldn't do!)

If you're still happy with him and it's been a 4 month relationship then it's more than likely not just a 'rebound' thing so go on and ask him.
Hell, after about our fourth real conversation I made my intentions well known to my current boyfriend (outright said I wanted to be his girlfriend actually...never been that bold in my entire life <_<; ) and we're still together after about two years. x'D
