Maybe you should use an image host that is okay with adult images next time? Not complaining, but it'll make things run more smoothly. As it is, this was actually a really amazing contest, and you rock for running it.

Yeah, that is something I definitely learned lol. I thought that the images could go through Photobucket without much problems, for at least a week anyway. Guess I should stick with Image Bam.

I am very sorry about the problem with the removal.

I am thinking of compensating the Artist for lost votes, in the form of a Gift Card. Hopefully this will not happen again. So, at very least the Artist had his/her art up to be shared

That's so horrible of them! Damn, whatever happened to freedom of expression? It's the internet and there are a lot worse things for the net-nazis to be worried about...

If it does I am prepared to step up to the plate and compensate the artists. Might take a huge chunk outta my wallet but It'll get done.

What I have in mind for my next Contest will not be something that can be removed like what happened in this contest.

Well it could but it would take a lot of welding, polls and levers. Maybe a HUGE truck, and three sled dogs... Don't know why the Sled dogs will be needed, but hell its December here in Pittsburgh, its always nice to have a back up plan!

Whoa, I totally missed this, I have been on another planet for nearly a week. And I missed some messages related to it, my apologies. :< I was excited, thinking about the contest every day. It's too bad that things get taken down where they are uploaded, but I understand why this is done--Even though it creates a lot of frustrating situations for me sometimes as an artist. I do advise for such things that next time the images are shared where they are allowed. I have not found many places, though. I have been using Tripod since the 90s, but it has it's share of issues.

I see some excellent art here!

It's a shame that Photobucket is actually evil. I loved #7! I'd suggest DA, but I'm not sure you can hotlink from there, plus folks might not want to be crossing the streams, if you know what I mean.

The thing with DA is that you have to upload art that is your own, that is a rule I value quite a lot! And outsiders (and minors on) DA cannot see things marked with "Mature content". So I don't think this would work out. But I do have DA accounts, and I like DA a lot! Though even it has limited me at times.

imageshack.com might also work for you. I haven't had anything come down yet, but I also don't have anything terribly revealing up there.

Funny you should mention it, last night on my review of "Rouged up" they removed 2 of the screen captures. 1 was a Censored picture of a topless women, and the other was some BDSM thing, without any nudity.

Huh. I've heard imagevenue.com is good for pictures with nudity, but I hesitate to recommend it just because the one time I had it up for something, my computer didn't like the site. But I have heard about others using it with no problems either.

Imageshack took down two photos of dildos. Just dildos, no nudity, no dildos in USE, just... didos.

Since then, I've not used them out of protest. Hrmph.

When voting for the entry you feel should win please also consider a few things:

1. Please remember that it took a lot of courage for members to put forward their artwork for not only this competition, but for a large group of people to view.
2. How much time was put into the work?
3. Consider the emotion of the piece.
4. Consider if the piece has a back story.
5. Consider not just the skill it took to produce an image, but the idea of the image.
6. Consider the significance of the image to the creator.
7. Have fun with this and enjoy the lovely works.

Please do not post any negative criticism of any of the images. I understand that this is asking a great deal, but I feel that this competition is more of a POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. I would love to keep everything nice and positive. If you have something positive to say about a work, please do so.

Right now we are going with a “Blind Vote”. You will be voting only on the art piece, and no names will be given. After the winner is selected I will release his/her name for everyone to congratulate. I will speak with the others in private and ask them personally if they wish their name to be released after the voting is closed.

Tentacle vines. It was hosted elsewhere, but the artist had taken it down since.
