We do "secret pal" at work. Do you exchange "gifts" in some way, with your "co-workers"?

It is sometimes more stress to buy for someone at work who I really don't know that well, rather then friends or family, but it is an entrenched thing where I work.

Do you buy gifts in some way for "co-workers" who are not personal friends?

We draw names and exchange gifts at a staff party. I agree it is stressful!

There are only 3 employees at my work, including myself, so... yeah, we exchange gifts. Honestly, I'd rather not, but there's no way not to without seeming rude.

We do at my place of volunteering. But- it's supposed to be simple things like a piece of chocolate. something small to brighten their day for five days.

We do where I work - Secret Santa. We each fill out a form with our likes (colors, food, candy, activities/interests/c ollections). Then our boss folds them up and we each pick a piece of paper. The paper then has the person's name on it that we will be getting gifts for and makes it nice because you have the list with gift ideas). We give a $1 gift for 3 weeks then a $5 gift at our Christmas Party where we reveal ourselves. We guess who our secret Santa is first. We got our first present last week. I love it!!
