We are both last minute shoppers and always buy first for loved ones. Our last home purchase cost us a pretty penny. Our gift to each other. Good for at least 20 yrs. Just wish there was less yard work.
Yep, its all about the little one here. Of course we buy each other little gifts. We recognize the sacrifices that we make for each other year round as more of a gift than anything materialistic.
I've been told not to spend a lot on him this year So, he's getting some wireless ear buds he's had his eye on, cologne, and a pair of tennis shoes. Then, for fun, ME tied in a big red bow holding a brand new toy!!!

Sounds like one of those old commercials from a credit card company you know...
--Wireless ear buds? Okay, not too expensive.
--Cologne? On a cost per use basis, still economical.
--Tennis shoes? Still not over budget and practical.
--Wife tied in a big red bow, holding a brand new toy? Priceless!
I mean, once the kiddos are taken care of. Do you go out of your way to get a very special gift? I researched for a long time to find the perfect gift. I hope he likes it.

He hasn't gotten me anything for Christmas in probably 10 years. It's a running laugh from the kids that mom's on the naughty list bc Santa didn't bring her anything. I usually pick him up something practical that he needs.
This will probably sound mushy. Yesterday we went shopping for the kids and her mom. Later before turning in she said, " I don't need anything." " I have you."

That's very nice. That's how we all need to feel toward our s/o.
