What are you thankful for?

What are you thankful for?

I typed the first things that came to mind.

I am thankful for: love, patience (my own and others), my healthy (most of the time) and smart children, my cuddly hubs who happens to be my very best friend, some family, some friends, kitties, mocha triple espressos in the morning, our reliable wifi set up, good music, my home office renovations being mostly done, good thought-provoking books, good movies / shows, beautiful haunting art, hopefulness, feeling like I do meaningful work, people who make me laugh (whether they mean to or not), our crappy looking van that still gets us around, real camaraderie, snuggly blankets, hoodies, magical nights, synchronicity (bc it’s awesome when it happens), foresight, hindsight, I guess - most of all - really for having important things in my life that aren’t things – that can never be lost or taken away.

What’s your ‘off the top of your head’ thankful list?

I am thankful for being alive, being in good health, having a great life and a bright, promising future, and for having a wonderful family and an intelligent little girl who I love.

Today? Drugs. (This post procedure pain is kicking my ass. Or, my cervix.)

Every other day?

Love. Family. Friends. Enough "stuff" to make life extra enjoyable but a good, solid foundation that keeps life happy and full even when we have times of less 'stuff".

Doggies. Kitties. Health.

Uhm, well...I'm thankful for good friends, a promising career/future, having not one but three jobs, and that my family & pets are healthy- physically if not mentally. And for Eden being the outlet that I need from everyday life. =)

I am most thankful for getting to be able to have my youngest daughter home for 7 wonderful months ( without doctors and nurses ) before she passed away. Yesterday It was one year she was 14 months old when she passed. Very thankful to have my wonderful supporting family to help me and my husband and our daughter get through our first year with out her.

I am thankful that despite the bad economy and being a fresh college grad, I am still able to stand on my own two feet doing the things I love to do, living with the person I want to live with. We may be poor as fuck, but we can afford the things we need. Like beer.

I am thankful for the new friends I've made and the old friends I've reconnected with. I'm thankful for the realization that some of my friends weren't good for me. I'm thankful for my boyfriend and his patience to deal with my me-ness. I'm thankful for my awesome cat, even though I don't get to see him enough. I'm thankful for days when the dorms serve slightly more palatable food. I'm thankful for rain, sun, and cozy comforters to cuddle under. I'm thankful for the weekends and holidays. I'm thankful for my family, even if they don't seem to like me very much at times. And, of course, I'm thankful for EF. I can't help but think that my life would be very different had I never found this awesome community.

I'm thankful to have a wonderful and supportive husband. Two healthy children that constantly amaze me. That my Mom is still functioning on her own this year. For good health, and basically being surrounded by people I love.

I'm more thankful for my family than I can ever begin to express. They've seen me through my worst days and best days and still love me for some odd reason!

I'm so thankful for my ex-husbands new wife too! Maybe he'll leave me the hell alone now. I need her (even though I hate her) just as much as he does! She keeps him occupied...

I'm also thankful for my hideously ugly cat that loves me as well as my dog that looks like a miniature Jabba the Hut.

Of course I'm thankful for all you guys out there on EF too! Without you I'd never have the knowledge that I have today. Thank you everybody! =)

Me? I think I'm probably most thankful for my submissive/boyfriend. I went through most of my teenage years thinking I'd never find anyone, and he walked into my life, and now I like to think that it's much better. (I'm NOT thankful about having to attend his family Thanksgiving. It's always so boring.)

I'm thankful for my family for having been so supportive of me since I've moved out. If I have problems, they're always there to help.

I'm thankful for the awesome community that I've found online in sex blogging. It's kinda like I feel at home. I'm also very thankful for the community that I found in BDSM. It's like having my own second family that's ready to love, accept me, and help me anytime I need it.

I am thankful for my wonderful parents that have been there for me through every up and down, that have never stopped believing in me even when I stopped believing in myself. I am thankful for my friends, few that they may be I know they are true and understand me and are always there for me. Most of all I am thankful that I finally found the love of my life, my wonderful boyfriend who has stuck by my side since day one and supported all the choices I have had to make, for him being so understanding and caring and just being him, my perfect other half.

I just think it's brilliant how forum subjects just work sometimes if you read them as though they're meant to go together. So here's this one, "what are you most thankful for?" and the next one is, oddly enough, "squirting". I'm thankful for all the happy accidents that make things interesting.

and then there's four together:
"what would you rather receive?"
"commissions"
"another time frame question"
"tantric sex?"

perfect. but how could you choose?

I'm thankful for my boyfriend who is not only my lover but my best friend. We've been through so much together and he's never wavered in his affections. My parents who gave me an awesome childhood, and will always have my back. My brother who wants whats best for me no matter what. My roomies who have become like sisters to me. My wonderful cuddly kitty who always curls up with me when I sleep. My boyfriends family that has accepted me into their home with open arms. Last but not least for the wonderful accepting and supporting community that is EF. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for FOOD! Thankful I have food, thankful I know how to cook, thankful my husband knows how to make a turkey and touches all the gross stuff that makes me want to puke when I look at it. I'm thankful that food helps to make me feel better, brings my small family closer, and has us all sitting in one place at the same time.

I'm thankful for friends, even if they're just other bloggers- the well wishes I've received since my kitty Dottie died has helped to make the pain a little more bearable. Knowing there are others out there wanting me to cheer up or wanting to help me make it through a very emotional time is touching and a blessing.

I'm thankful for my husband and his inability to call it quits. If he were anyone else I'd probably be divorced. Our quest for a baby has been 4 years long and every month it feels like it gets even harder- he's been there the entire time holding my hand, pushing me forward when I feel like giving up. He gives me hope, he makes me have faith, and keeps me thinking that it is possible and that one day our family will grow.

I am thankful for sex toys- without those high powered gadgets and gizmos my sex life would SUCK. And I'm not joking.

I'm thankful for shows like Glee and Desperate Housewives that distract me when I need distractions- bloggers like the Bloggess and Michael K from D Listed, I'm thankful for stupid celebrities that fill my magazines full of hilarious shit that I read while I'm taking a...

And times like this, I'm thankful for job security for my husband.. even if it means he's going to be deployed. During those times I'm thankful that there's something inside of me that helps me make it through, something inside that has helped to keep me from falling apart completely and has let me feel like there is going to be some good coming my way even if month after month after month has been filled with absolute crap. I'm thankful that I don't give up.

Oh, and I'm thankful I've been blessed with the ability to rant and the ability not to care if it makes people pull their hair out.

This came up a lot yesterday around the table with my wife and some of my family. I thought long about what I was thankful for. Their is always family, love, health which we all take for granted. I tried to search for deeper meaning like art, the ability to create and the passion that comes with it. Then I thought about all the people in my life I have lost and the pain they experienced at the end of their lives and I was thankful for having know them, even if it was briefly and how their lives have effected and continue to do so to this day. Then there was double chocolate cake and homemade whip cream so I was totally thankful I was doing the serving. Hope all of you had a wonderful day.

I am thankful for my husband, who is going through a rough, emotional time but still finds time to talk to me and make sur I'm ok. I'm thankful someone in the border patrol didn't let their power mongering go to their heads and FINALLY let mt other life partner be at the birth of our child. I'm doubly thankful it meant so much to him to be there...
I'm thankful for my three healthy children and for my own health.
I'm thankful that both my guys are employed and advancing in their respective careers.
I'm thankful for EF and the community, reading the site has eased the baby blues (may they not turn into post partum depression or psychosis like with my first child).
I'm thankful my Grandfather isn't suffering anymore, for such a vital active man Parkinson's just sapped the life right out of him.
And so much more...

I'm way beyond thankful and past grateful for my wonderful girlfriend. I'm the luckiest person for having her in my life that we have each other to depend on, come what may.

I'm thankful for my friends and family and how those lines cross.

I'm thankful for the cat-shaped thing that runs around my apartment telling me how cool the bathroom sink is and how to work it for him.

I'm thankful for programs set up to help the disillusioned, distressed, and desperate.

I'm thankful to live in a house that will soon have a back porch, where I'll be able to sit outside comfortably in all sorts of weather, especially when it rains. I've missed that.
