We clean up our area of the forest service and camp spots. Since we enjoy them with our dogs, I feel we should do our part to keep them clean. Otherwise the area will get closed off and no one can enjoy....
What do you do all year, not just Earth Day, to help out?

I upcycle everything I get my hands on -- almost anyways. No littering, pick up crap where I see it, if I can & recycle, etc.

I don't breed, not having a child is the best thing for the earth (and my body/mind).

We do trail maintenance once a year at least. And I'm always picking up trash and moving limbs/branches off trails when we hike.
In general, we live pretty simply. I work from home and put only about 1500 miles on my car last year. My wife's new car gets 45 mpg. Every time we need to replace something in our house, we go to a more energy-efficient option, whether it's a light bulb or a refrigerator. We reuse and recycle, and try to buy only what we need; when we have multiple options, we choose the one with less packaging. It's embarrassing to "toot my own horn" like this! But what's cool is that almost all the things we do save us money, too.

Unless my crocheting/knitting patterns is one where I need to mark of each line as I do it I will otherwise use my iPod touch or Kindle to read my pattern. So by doing this I am saving probably 1,000 sheets of paper if not more than that a year. I'm not kidding either I used to print patterns out like crazy. In the past I helped by printing double sided which I still do if I have to print.
I have to admit I am an eco-geek. Thanks to the cartoon I grew up watching Captain Planet & The Planeteers.

I am too lazy to recycle.
It's not that I don't care, it's that I don't care enough.
I am a really bad earth citizen sorry!
I used to always save my cans and bottles to take back when I was a pop drinker. In Michigan you pay a $0.10 deposit on cans and bottles and get it back when you recycle. It's an added incentive.

Lol I'm not going to lie about this, I do nothing really.
I hardly ever leave the house when I'm in school so I guess in a way I'm not at least adding to the waste outside. Plus like random pervert I'm not breeding and adding another person to the population to litter up the earth. There you go, you're welcome world.
