Why don't you like Easter? :D

I LOVE Easter!!! It is the cutest celebration of the year, when everything starts a new life and all the creatures look happy and content with their life!

But I bet there are some of you out there who can't stand it, and maybe some of you who are fine with occasions in general, but there is something with Easter why that is the only one they can't stand...

If you are one of them, how come you don't like it?

I like it, but I dislike it at the same time because of stuffy people who demand respect for the reasons they celebrate it but who don't respect other people's reasons. I don't run into them a lot but it puts a bad taste in my mouth for the whole thing.

I'm with Gold Lion on that. I think it would be a much more enjoyable holiday if people respected each others right to celebrate how chosen without snide or passive aggressive remarks towards it. I come from a Catholic background and boy, howdy, are they bitter.

My Grandma didn't talk to me on Easter one year because I had died my hair colors to celebrate it.

I was a consultant for a pet store for a few years. I saw so many animals purchased at Easter and subsequently abandoned or destroyed that it makes me sick to this day.

I don't like all the Jesus stuff. I'm an atheist, but I still like to celebrate events with my daughter as a bonding thing. However, all over facebook, I see nothing but crucified Jesus pics.

That's awesome!

For me, it's the blind ignorance of history that bothers me. There's a reason why the date changes, look up "Ostara" and you'll see what I mean.
