I much prefer the books, but of the films of the first book, the Swedish film was, I thought, much better. I have heard that there are no plans to remake the other two Swedish films, which I'm good with.

I haven't read the books, but I liked both versions of the movie. Eventually, I'll get all three of the Swedish ones. I haven't seen the 3rd one yet.

I read the first two books and then saw the first two Swedish movies. I loved the first one, but the second one deviated from the book, and that bothered me.

SWEDISH!
That lady is sexy and her tattoo is badass and she looks as though she could kick an ass

the chick in the American one looks like a cracked-out American teenager going through a Goth-rebel phase and her tattoo was lame and most American renditions of any foreign movie suck

I've never read the books so i can't comment on them

I haven't read the books, but the Swedish film was better than the American one (sorry Daniel Craig, I like you and your movies, but...). I don't know why Hollywood needs to remake all these movies...like the vampire flick "Let Me In". The original Swedish version was only a year old I think and they had to remake it. And the Swedish version was better anyway.

The books are definitely the best, and of the movies I have liked the American version more. I just thought Rooney Mara did a better job than Noomi Rapace.
