I watched the wonder years when it came to nick at night and now I'm watching it on the Hub. Now, years later,I can't help but think that Kevin was a colossal, whiny, douchebag. Are there any shows you've watched that were great as a kid, but now you can see their flaws more easily?
Did you ever watch a show from your youth as an adult and then viewed it in a different light?

Not so much flaws, but it amazes me what the shows of my childhood managed to slip under the radar. Seriously, it's like the producers added it in for the sake of parents watching along with their children.

Yes!
I re-watched a few Scooby Doo episodes with my partner and they seem so silly now. The endings are so unsatisfying and I realize now they don't explain how they solved the mysteries.

yet parents groups still complained. They never seemed to get the idea that the kids didn't understand the jokes, therefore it didn't matter if they were riske. It's almost like having a dirty joke in greek on a TV-PG show, the few people who know greek will either chuckle or be aghast, but everyone else will miss the joke.

The Muppets - the initial zaniness was loved when I was a kid. Rewatching the series as an adult gave me a deeper appreciation for the subtle slips of adult humor Jim and his writers put into the work. And I'm wondering what they smoked back then.

For me, it's the Smurfs. It's one of the most sexest cartoons I've seen to date and some of the innuendo is pretty heavy. But, yeah a lot of those shows I watched as a kid are mind-numbingly stupid to me as an adult.

I totally know what you mean!
Thundercats used to be awesome when I was a kid. I tried watching them again a few months ago and they were so bad!

Funny little aside about The Muppets. The song "Mahna Mahna" first made its appearance in an Italian soft-core porn movie called: Sweden Heaven and Hell.

Then Jim Henson bought the rights to the song and it made its appearance in the Muppets show one year later.
Gotta love it!

I think this happens to everyone who grows up, with most kids' shows.

Yes. For instance, I used to love Buffy. I watch episodes now and I wonder why I liked it so much. Don't get me wrong, the writing is great, but I'm not a fan of the costumes.
