I've never used any of them. My dad likes the Kindle, my mom likes the iPad.

Actually started with the Kindle as a gift, which I loved. However, recently got an IPad through work and have to say it rocks. It is so many things beyond a Kindle.

I can do so many things there that I can't do in a kindle.

I have a Kindle, and I love it.

I like them all for different reasons. I'm a techno-junkie. Depends on what you want it to do on which one is right for you.

None of the above. Someone I was with recently got me a Kindle, and it's fairly worthless. I dislike such gadgets, I find them to be a waste of time.

Noe, I have a cheap e-book reader but that it. I don't like either of the products above especially the ipad it nice but at the end of the day it downfalls such s the lack of flash support makes it nothing more then a glorified toy in my eyes.

I have a differnt one

I don't need an e-reader when I've got books, and an e-reader doesn't really take much less space than a book in a traveling bag.
And I've got no need for an iPad when I've got a laptop which is maybe only twice as big, but has a physical keyboard, flash support, and can do much more for me at the end of the day.
If I sound like an old fogey, maybe so. I enjoy tactile sensations along with my functionality. I was actually one of the quickest to jump on the smartphone bandwagon (but by doing that, I got a smartphone with a very usable physical keyboard )

I really dislike the Kindle; I'm not a fan of how all of the books are stored remotely on the Amazon website, so you never really "have" the books.
I do love my Sony eReader quite a bit, but nothing really ever replaces the sensation of having a real book in your hands though.

I prefer to hold a book in my hands and smell the pages, touch them, dog-ear them and write in them if I so choose.
I don't understand the need to have a computer on my telephone or the need to have a iPad, when the computer I have in my office at home and at work, as well as our 3 laptops work just fine.
I think we are too connected as it is. It bugs me to no end that my husband's colleagues believe it is OK to text him on the weekends or during his vacation time to discuss work. The only reason I have texting on my phone is to communicate with my teenage son and occasionally, my husband when he is out of town.

I honestly don't own any of these. I prefer to read an actual book. They say it's cheaper to buy books through one of these devices, but I think that it's really just the same.

I do not have any, but have played with all three. The Ipad was pretty easy to get around on it.

Nook seems to work with more formats than the Kindle.

my dad & i have kindles & we love them, & my mom has an ipad that she can't be separated from for too long.

I like real books better, but my Nook Color is pretty cool.

Real books first, then the Nook Color!

I prefer real books, but I wouldn't mind a Kindle. That e-ink is easy on the eyes.

I have this thing that is paper and has pages. It doesn't need to be plugged in or turned on.
