I always watch them in order. I wouldn't watch the walking dead when it first came out because I missed the first episode and it wasn't on ondemand.

For me it depends on what kind of show it is. If it's a show like The Walking Dead, where you need to have seen previous episodes to really know what's going on, I try to watch older episodes before new ones. If it's a show like Star Trek, or CSI, where you don't really need to see older episodes to know what's going on, then it doesn't really matter to me what order I watch them in.

If it is something I know I am going to like, then yes. I insist on watching everything before the new one.

But if it is something meh-ish, then no.
