Who here would call themselves a comic book-reader? If you are, what are your favorite titles? Who is your favorite superhero? Do you totally disdain capes-comics and stick to indie stuff? Who is your favorite writer/artist/creator?

My favorite hero is def Batman, and my favorite writer is Grant Morrison. I think Frank Quitely is a better artist than Jack Kirby, but Kirby had the most creatively fertile mind to ever touch superheroes.

A really great book that I read recently was "Saga" by Brian K. Vaughan ( of "Y the Last Man" fame) and Fiona Staples.

I really enjoyed Saga! Can't wait till I can read the next volume.

I mostly read shojo manga, but favorite hero from American comics is Superman. I had a few comics as a kid, not a lot. Mostly Star Wars, Dash Rendar stuff.

I'm reading the titles in the "Death in the Family" arch across DC now.

My other faves are "The Walking Dead", "Revival", "Rebel Blood", and Archer and Armstrong (rebooted recently).

There was a great title recently called "Punk Rock Jesus" that was pretty good.
