My favorite childhood book would have to be Where the Wild Things Are. I love the story and the illustrations.

I was reading things like Desperation by Stephan King when I was younger. I'm not too fond of children's books.

My mom says I had a "Muffy and Fluffy" book when I was really young that I made her read every night. I still have it. The poor thing is falling apart. lol

When I was a bit older I really fell in love with "The Phantom Tollbooth." I still have that one as well and it's tattered and worn down.

I enjoyed Where the Wild Things are and this book series about this Nanny who sat troubled children and gave them chores to make them behave - kind of like how Nanny McPhee worked but it was this little old dumpy lady and her looks weren't affected by the children's progress.

My mom started reading me Harry Potter when I was a kid - I could read the others myself but not this one - it was the only story I insisted on being read. I don't know if I had bedtime stories before that. I don't remember ever being read to save for the Sorcerer's Stone.

Harry Potter, once I was around 8 or so. As a younger child, I loved too many books to remember a favorite

I was a big reader in grade school, there are just too many books to list. I've still got a major soft spot for A Wrinkle in Time, My Side of the Mountain, and Homecoming among many others.

I'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter books, but I don't really count those because I was 16 when the first book was published.
