I haven't seen it yet, but I have the original one Tim Burton made on my DVD of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I still want to see the stop motion animation one though.

I saw the preview right after my dog died of old age...I cried; I'm sure it's a nice movie, but I'm afraid it would be too sad

It wasn't supposed to be an improvement - merely a re-release -shrug- They just re-shot it with more modern techniques since I highly doubt transferring a film that old to modern DVD would go so well... just check out Mortal Combat on blu-ray -shiver- it looks terrible.

Doesn't seem like my kind of film. I love stop animation, but I really don't like watching stop animation movies. They're just creepy to me or something. Its not Burton's style either. I just can't wrap my head around stop animation really. It's awesome, but not my taste.
