I love the show (almost done with the first season) and I just received the books for Christmas. Can't wait to start reading them!

Love both! Problem is I am a slow reader LOL

My son has read them and loved them. We just finished a season 2 marathon on DVD to get me caught up.

I have yet to read the books. I can't really afford the books XD I fell in love with the show first so I am sure I will love love love the books if I had time to read them.

I started with the books, and I am watching it on tv as the DVD's come out. The one frustrating thing is that I finished the 5th book thinking that the series was finished, but there are still 2 more books being written. Ahhhhhhhhhh, I don't want to wait!

I haven't read the books, I might have if I hadn't watched the series but now I probably won't. I like the show to a certain extent, I just feel that it could be better. The costuming, props and scenery are beautiful. There's also a handful of damn good actors, but the 5 minutes each week that the 20 different main characters get, makes the pacing too slow.
