Hot but evil and monster-y both have their place in literature. Glittery and harmless, however, seems to ruin the purpose of having a vampire in the first place.

I don't think True Blood is a very good... uhhh not what I would use as an example of vampires XD

I like the suave, sophisticated, cold-blooded killer. B| Which doesn't really happen in any book or novel. I like to imagine them powerful, unearthly beautiful - they are predators after all and humans ARE weak to physical appearance. Heartless, give-no-fucks murderers. >8) And I like lots of blood and gore splashed into that B|

I'd say... Vampire Hunter D actually does a damned good job at it >8) and that old 90's movie Vampires wasn't half bad; The Lost Boys was pretty fabulous too.

My favorites are classics. Like Dracula. He wasn't sexy at all in the book, he was feral and scary looking. XD But I can handle the ones that are human looking and up to hot, as long as they aren't sparkly.
