Movie Theater Or Home?

I just saw a silent film with a full orchestra. I couldn't experience that at home. I like seeing arthouse films and film festival screenings in theaters but crowds for typical mainstream Hollywood movies at my Cineplex are annoying and I'll wait for those movies to come out on Blu-ray.

I only see a movie in theaters about once or twice a year at most. Whether I prefer the theater or my own home depends a lot of the kind of film. An exciting action flick is more fun on a big screen, but a scary film is better in a silent house at two in the morning.

I don't really enjoy going to the theater because I like to watch a movie not talk or kiss and all that I only like to watch the movie and if someone else is talking or loud I get a bit annoyed. Well a hell of a lot annoyed.

At home. The only time I'll go to the theater is if it's a movie I really feel like voting with my dollars.

If its action packed or epic...movie theatre. Others can wait till home...we have a projector, so it's almost like having a movie theatre in the apartment!

For all the BIG (54" diagonal and up) flat panel LCD TV's sold at COSTCO and other places, I guess we ALL should be at HOME watching the movie!! But if it is fantastic movie like Avengers, well, I did go out to the theatre!
