I'm not really sure what we're going to do since the netflix account belongs to my partner. I like having both but I don't know if it's worth paying for.

For those who are questioning the price, they have it updated on their website. Only current customers won't see price increase until September.

I was admittedly very mad when I saw that there would be a split. I knew they were trying to push people away from DVDs, but I've seen no evidence since I first heard that months ago that they were ALSO making strides in bolstering their streaming options (which would, duh, make it worth dropping the DVDs).

More than anything, I was annoyed that the price of both options is the same. Seeing those matching numbers just gives a strong feeling of being ripped off. My best friend signed up for an account and we're currently planning on having one of us do a streaming account (probably me since I stream through my Xbox 360) and the other do just DVDs.

I'm undecided what I'll do. On the one hand, I don't have the money for cable or satellite TV in my apartment so I am still saving with Netflix. But on the other hand, the major price increase pisses me off majorly and does make it less affordable for me. Ugh.

I stream and get one DVD at a time. It depends on how much the price goes up as it just went up a little while ago. It just depends I am sure if it jumps up and everyone drops their plans they will have to take that into consideration as well. It really needs to stay around $10/month.

We have both and while I'm not happy about the price increase, I'll probably still keep both streaming and discs by mail. My kids use the streaming a lot, and so do I.
