Went with hate, even though I don't "hate" reality tv, i strongly dislike the majority of it. Most of it is far from reality.

i like some....not all but i push love cuz i dnt know if these are reality but me and the hubby loves black gold moonshiners ax men stuff like tht ya know

one or two shows or okay, but most are either boring, or horrible. Also, I've noticed that when a reality show struggles (wife swap) they throw in celebrities and call it a day.

I occasionally like to laugh at some clips that show how stupid the people act on those shows. Joel Mchale does a great job of ridiculing them. Other than that, I don't watch shows labeled as reality.
I think the shows that mandaj listed are a little more respectable because I think they lean more towards a documentary and they are sometimes educational. However, I still don't watch those.

As a fan of Joe Rogan (comedy, MMA), I just caught the first few episodes of Fear Factor (considered reality TV), which he hosts. I... wish I hadn't done that.

Hate the majority, viewer of a few (Top Chef, Top Chef Masters and Work of Art)

It depends on what is on. I usually hate reality shows, but I like dark stuff like "Hoarders" or stuff about serial killers or mental illness. I hate to watch and refuse to watch anything with the word "bachelor" in it, or where people have to eat grotesque things, or do things that make no sense to get their 15 minutes of fame. Nothing with the word "Battle" in it. Nor "Race."
I think Modern Family and Big Bang Theory are the funniest sit coms on TV. I like House, but it's getting repetitive. I watch other stuff, but not much reality tv. I like Anthony Bourdain's shows, but I always forget he's on. Then I catch one of his shows and realize how good it is, and how hot he is. Obviously, I like tall, lanky, angular, slightly nerdy, but Alpha Male bad boys. I married one. My Man looks just like House, and he could pass for Bourdain in the dark. (In fact, he has.... )
I'm not hip enough to say "I hate TV."

Since we both work in the biz, a lot of "reality" TV isn't reality anyway. The only show we'll give props to, however, is The Biggest Loser. At least it has a value to the participants that is far greater than any of the other so-called real life or contest-based shows.

I would disagree about the biggest loser to an extent. while it means well, too often the message is "are you overweight? HATE YOURSELF!" In some cases it tries to focus on healthy living and healthy eating, but too often the focus is how people can only reclaim their lives by losing weight, as though it's the cause, rather than the symptom of their lives problems. that's just my two cents though.

Some shows are good...like 3 or so.
Networks like reality shows; they're cheaper than scripted and are just as easy to manipulate.

I do like all the reality shows on CBS. Big Brother, Survivor, and the Amazing Race are my must-see TV.

I love almost all the shows. I'm counting down the days for Big Brother. It is about 6 months from now it will be back on CBS.

I think shows like Amazing Race are an exception. I don't consider it reality tv since they are playing a big game. Their tasks are interesting. However, I have yet to see a full episode. I only watch about 5 or 10 minutes while flipping through the channels.

I don't really care either way. We got rid of our TV service provider a long time ago.

Eh, I don't mind it.
01/04/2012

I hate how much television stations rely on reality tv, but I will watch them occasionally.

Not hate per say, more along the lines of strongly dislike.

I voted indifferent.
I watch some shows like Wife Swap and Supernanny and I enjoy them. I also enjoyed The Real World DC but just because of Andrew Woods being on it.. I watched Tila Tequila's show and Flavor of Love just to laugh at how idiotic they were. I hate most other reality shows though.

It's ok. It depends on the show, but most reality tv is not to my tastes, although I don't necessarily hate it.

With a few exceptions hate. But it is funny to watch the stupid things they do on clip shows like the soup.
04/02/2012
I enjoy mock-reality shows so much more.
04/02/2012
I dislike a lot of them, but I don't "hate" them. That requires too much effort I am not willing to put forth. Sometimes, once in a blue moon really, I'll watch snippets of these shows, but mostly they get ignored in my world

Same here. To hate it is too strong, but out of those it's the one I identify with most.
