Shows - Firefly, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, and Caprica (all of which are canceled, sigh! But available on Netflix).

Books - Santiago: a Myth of the Far Future by Mike Resnick, Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, May the Last Person to Leave the Planet Please Shut off the Sun? by Mike Resnick...I'm sure there are others but I can't recall them right now. I also quite love The Life of God (as Told by Himself) by Franco Ferrucci, which is sort of fantasy/sci-fi, I'm not sure how you'd categorize it exactly.

I loved all of those. Hesitantly hopeful about Blood and Chrome. I want more real scifi back on Syfy.

Love Star Wars, Terminator, Aliens, and Firefly. In fact, I love most sci-fi.

Favourites?
Okay, TV SHOWS: Farscape, Doctor Who, Stargate. That is if you're going by a very strict understanding of sci-fi, I know some terms can be a bit loosey-goosey (I'm looking at you SyFy). I liked BSG in the beginning but it just was so very depressing ALL THE TIME I had difficulty keeping up with it. I also enjoy watching X-Files but I keep forgetting that I've been trying to watch the entire damn series ever since I got netflix a few years back and so now I totally forget where I am in the damn show and am going to have to start all over again.
As for sci-fi books, I don't really read fiction very often. I usually read historical books, science books and graphic novels. There are of course the ubiquotious and amazing YA books, but they generally are fantasy and supernatural than actual scifi.
