How do you feel when you see these?

Yes! It scared me, but no, I cannot say "it's your fault." I have sympathy, a heart! Now days, yea we know before we smoke that there are deadly effects. I'm smoker. I kept the habit because it "seemed" to relieve my horrible anxiety. It's my fault. I gave in and smoked. It's not smart and I have worked on quitting and spent a lot of money trying. I don't look at smokers as less than, stupid or bad people who "get what they deserve." I wish people would let up on smokers. Yea, a lot of that is because I am one, but if I weren't, I'd still say GET OVER IT. In that sense, I'm talking about the people that complain about smoking and people who smoke like they're damn criminals. I didn't mean "GET OVER IT" towards anybody besides those. I say get over it because I feel there are bigger issues in the world than the people who smoke. I'm not damaging other people's health and I don't want to be treated as less than/criminal when I'm smoking in my own car in a public parking lot, ya know? That's what bugs me.
I do think it's good to start bringing awareness. I don't remember seeing this type of awareness when I was growing up except for the smoking warning on cig packs. It's a good thing and yes, people should absolutely know how bad it is. Still, there's the older generation that had no idea that smoking was damaging to their health. They were even allowed to have smoke breaks at school. Those are the people who deserve some sympathy! I mean, afte they got addicted, they found out it kills. I don't think it should be wrote off as something people should just put down because it's hard.
I guess the commercials don't bother me. I'm not offended, I don't see a reason I should be. I suppose it could sadden someone who recently lost a loved one due to smoking. I believe that knowledge is power though. I can say, when I see those commercials, I put off lighting my next smoke for a while longer.
PS. Talking on cell phones causes cancer I hear. Standing in front of a microwave does too, I hear. Using certain sex toys, certain soaps. Do we treat the people who still do it as criminal? Just a thought I had.
