OK, I admit that I am totally addicted to both the shows...I love vampire stuff. Both shows are really good and it's really hard for me to pick one...True Blood is more grown up. But I think I prefer Vampire Diaries. I like the characters better

I'm SOOOOOOO tired of vampires. For many years I was an Anne Rice fan, but imo her genre has been violated by too much romance and silliness.
This is just my opinion, but give me Count Dracula or Lestat instead of these latter day vampires who (gasp) walk around in the sun, and have romances and just act like regular people.... pale regular people.

True Blood, hands down. I watched 5 minutes of the very first TVD epsiode and felt like I was watching Twilight. (Ick.)

After watching Hell Sing, I don't anticipate any vampire show raising to the same level. However, I did thoroughly enjoy the Kindred TV show for its brief time.

TRUE BLOOD!! Season 1 is amazing but the other ones are pretty good too. Still looking forward to next season.

Tried to get into true blood a while back and couldn't. I ended up watching all 4 seasons anyway. I didn't start to really like it until season 4, but it's still REALLY out there. Like they didn't know which direction to go so they just added EVERYTHING.

I watch TrueBlood just to see Eric Northman. it ticks me off this season that the director seems to have a short attention span as they are really not sticking with a character for more than a few moments before switching to another. I hate this kind of story telling.
I watch Vampire Diaries for my students watch it. Gives us something to talk about so they see that I am indeed human and making an effort to relate to them and makes it easier to get them to watch other shows I like!

I've seen vampire diaries but I don't watch it anymore. I use to be a big fan of twilight. I read the books even before they got famous but the overload in the media about it just turned me away. I don't really like vampire shows or movies anymore.

I LOVE Vampire Diaries. I caught it on Netflix about a month ago and caught up with the current season. I would love to watch True blood to see if I enjoy it but it's not on netflix. I am also a huge Twilight fan.

I've watched True Blood and Vampire Diaries... Vampire Diaries wasn't TERRIBLE, but it wasn't worth watching more than a few episodes, especially because it was so predictable! I mean, True Blood at least has some "what the heck?" plot twists. My husband and I are definitely addicted to True Blood.

True Blood. I haven't watched the last two seasons and I would have to say the season before those two was a let down because of how much they were trying to cram into it. I'm hoping that once I'm able to catch up on watching it they improved the story a bit because having a million subplots going on at once is really annoying. :/
