I have all this beautiful recording gear that I cannot even use to record the local news anymore , let alone a TV show or movie.(digital permission needed).

Anyone else frustrated by these new regulations on what you can and cannot record off your TV for later watching?

While my cable switched to digital, I don't have what's technically considered "digital cable". I can record stuff off TV with no DVR. So it doesn't affect me.

No, but I am upset that "ON DEMAND" is a lie, just like the cake.

I have to subscribe to every damn channel to get the really good stuff.

Yes...cable is a giant rip off. Nothing like paying to watch TV commercials...now its happening in theaters too.

I have U-verse and never looked back! The quality is better. The DVR rocks my flip flops. Plus, the box is a built-in wireless router! True, it's acting weird now, but they're coming out to fix it tomorrow morning!

There's a lot of things about cable services that annoy me - bigger things for me are the huge packages that you can't pick and choose among, and an inability to even simply hide the channels that none of my family has an interest in.

If my grandma wasn't so comfortable with cable and uncomfortable with new technology, we probably would've canceled our cable and simply downloaded interesting shows already.

I have a DVR and we can record with it, so it doesn't really affect me one way or another.
