My preferred method of watching any show is in a marathon. I like to watch what I want, when I want and like having on-demand viewing. Does anyone else watch TV shows in a marathon? If you do, what shows?

We don't have time to do that; my husband DVRs our favorite shows and we'll pick and watch one episode each night.

I like watching when they have Law & Order rerun marathons, too. That was the kind of thing I watched more before I had on-demand.

Oh, I will watch anything like that! Lately, I have been watching afternoon showings of Castle (which I have seen all of already) and The Mentalist (which I have just started watching) when some channel (TNT?) shows three or four episodes in a row.

We dont' really get those often -.- so I'm normally stuck watching whatever is on, and when they are on...WE AREN'T HOME OR WE'RE SLEEPING.

That is how I watch most shows! I download, so I have them all on hard drives so if I feel like it I will watch only Stargate for months or Buffy and it is funny as hell. I am told I start to pick up some of the characters little quirks.
At the moment, I am watching Supernatural and have been watching it for the past month. Oh yeah. Favourite phrases? What the hell. Balls. You know what. I guess I've seen them pretty often as my students have started in on watching it too and have started walking around saying, balls.

Usually when I start watching a show I'm less busy in my life and I watch it online, so I'll watch as many as I have time for as long as I like the show.

Huffy is the main one, though we've also done it with House, and I do it with Dexter and Sons of Anarchy. I'd do it with Boardwalk Empire too but it's a bit too intense, I find I enjoy it more one or two episodes at a time.

My roommate and I are both marathoners, so we enable each other like crazy when we're both into the same show. Star Trek (TOS) was a particularly bad time.

Psych, Firefly, and Sherlock are three that I continuously marathon but I have also done Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Game of Thrones, Da Vinci's Demons, Merlin, and Dr. Who.

I marathoned Breaking Bad when I first discovered it. I watch Game of Thrones on it's premier though.
