I am a fan of the Halloween series in its entirety. My favorite out of all of them would have to be Hallowern 5. Awesome movie, old but awesome.
Whats your favorite horror movie?

I'm a huge Horror fan, but i like when they are scary too and not all guts. Session 9 is the best scary movie I've ever seen.
I love Dawn of the Dead, Amity Ville Horror, and Halloween. I could go on forever though. There are so many I love.

The only one I could sit through was Paranormal Activity, but even then the DVDs theatrical version ending scared me so much I was shivering.

Mine is "Rosemary's Baby."

Just saw Paranormal Activity 2 yesterday and I will say that it is one of the best made horror films that I've seen in a long time (didn't see the first one... YET).
The one movie though (well, series really but only because of the first one, the others IMO aren't that scary but because the villain is in all...) that still scares the shit out of me that I cannot watch in the month of October is Halloween. Just cannot do it. I saw it when I was young (about 8 or 9) and it freaked me the fuck out. So that little kid scared-ness still sticks with me about that movie.

Hmmm.. I like the Silent Hill movie, though the games are MUCH better.... But I have to say the Aliens and Predator movies, but the not AVP movies.... I know it's sci-fi, but it's also horror. I also liked The Grudge. Jacob's Ladder was pretty freaky, too!

I can't think of what my favorite horror movie is, to be honest, lol (it's *way* too late at night, lol, I should be sleeping)
*But* I can think of the worst one! I actually rented it the other day with Synthetik. It's a remake that came out a few days ago and it's called "Night of the Demons" or something. The special effects were pretty terrible, same with the acting and all. And it seemed like there was "conveniently placed" things for the main characters to use everywhere, like a random gun in the basement, a conveniently placed sharpie, or a long coil of rope in a bedroom (and I don't mean shibari rope either, just some random regular rope that could reach down about two or three stories) when the leading lady wanted to try and save a guy who just got pulled down onto a lower level through the floor by the demons. It was ridiculous.
From the beginning of it I was just hoping that Count Chocula, zombies or something would just kill off everyone and soon, lol.
Synthetik said it wasn't too bad, but I think it was just because of *one* line from that entire movie (Okay, I'm not even joking here, this was *Actually* in the movie and it's script):
*** "She put the lipstick in her boob and it came out her pussy! D: " ***
He and I burst out laughing at that. Now Synthetik wants a soundboard so he can put that sound clip on it, lmfao.

I'm a wuss about movies (or places, like haunted houses and stuff) where things jump out and surprise/shock me. I'm all for blood and guts but I squeak like a mouse when something startles me. It's embarrassing I prefer more psychological thrills. I'm a sucker for the Saw movies

Lol, you know, objectively the Silent Hill movie was decent. Even if the end frustrated me. But it's like with all game to movie (or book to movie) situations; my inner purist throws a fit through the whole damn thing. No one wants to sit next to me during a Harry Potter movie because of it

How has nobody said the Exorcist yet! One of my all time favorites! I also like the original Halloween and El Orpheonato (The Orphanage) as well. I'm not a fan of slasher horror as it usually just bores me.
I think the best horror movies are the ones that let your brain fill in the shadows so to speak, because no director will be able to pinpoint what freaks people out as well as their own imaginations.
Paranormal Activity was good, but I had a hard time watching it because as a former paranormal investigator who was nearly possessed, it just did it waaaaaaaaaay too well for me.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer scared the shit out of me when I first saw it.
Anyone who can watch that movie more than once has guts of steel.
It isn't gory, it doesn't have zombies or monsters, but it is terrifying.

Awesome! Fulci is one my favorite filmmakers. As to the question at hand... it's really quite hard to narrow it down to ONE. Zombie (Zombi 2) is definitely up there. I love the Guinea Pig series!! Part two is arguably the best but I do like Mermaid in a Manhole quite a bit.

This is my BOOM-STICK!!! Haha...although I think Evil Dead 1 and 2 are actually funnier, Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3) is a cult classic. I watch Supernatural and Walking Dead (only seen a couple of the comics) on TV. Movies, too numerous to mention...
