Zombie (aka Zombi 2) by Lucio Fulci. For something that is so bad it's good I love Burial Ground (aka The Nights of Terror) by Andrea Bianchi.

I'm a wuss. I don't watch horror movies. But if I absolutely had to watch a horror movie, I definitely wouldn't watch a zombie one because I think those are the most disturbing!

I love Dawn of the Dead (the remake). 28 Days Later is a good one too!

Zombieland. Funny as hell, and it was my boyfriend and I's first date. Loved Shaun of the Dead, too!

As for a serious zombie movie, I'd have to go with 28 Days Later as well. Didn't like 28 Weeks Later, though.

Zombieland, while funny, isn't as great as Shawn of the Dead.

The Italian zombie flix never really did much for me, Burial Ground was ok though.

The remake of Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead are my faves.

Survival of the Dead was WORSE than the original Dawn of the Dead...

Me too with the zombieland and shaun of the dead. I have never seen the 28days/weeks later but I really enjoy me a good Resident Evil!

Zombie movies are the only 'horror' movies I can watch! Anything else freaks me out.

My favourite would have to be 28 Days Later. I also love Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, and Resident Evil. Dawn of the Dead (both versions) and Planet Terror were good, but I didn't like 28 Weeks Later as much as I did Days. Night of the Living Dead will always have a special place in my heart, as the first zombie movie I watched, though most of the older zombie movies are too dated to be anything but funny IMO.

I also love Doom, but I don't think that really counts.

Night of the creeps.

Total cheese, totally awesome.

Shawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, and Night of the Living Dead are the best imo.

There are many bad zombie movies to be explored. I have seen a few on netflix. The Walking Dead is better than most if not all zombie movies.

Oh, would "Legend" with Will Smith count as a zombie-like movie? Because my husband and I DID watch that (and it was pretty darn scary to me -- told ya I was a wuss!). I did like that movie though because I found Will's portrayal of the deepest loneliness to be heartrending and very poignant (similar to Tom Hank's portrayal of the same in "Castaway").

We also watched "Shaun of the Dead" and we both love the lead actor. There was only one scene that was extremely upsetting to me -- the scene where one of the characters was pulled through the window and there was some horrible gore where he was torn apart and eaten alive. I was pretty upset. I think I get too emotionally involved watching movies and it just breaks my heart to see someone suffering or falling victim to some horrible fate -- even if it isn't real.

Actually... I am Legend is what Romero based the original NotLD on. He flat out admitted it.

I liked the CGI Resident Evil they did, Degeneration. The other RE movies are not true to the series and I don't like em much.

You're right, Degeneration was good. I have a lot of pet peeves with the RE movies, but taken as a separate 'universe' from the games (because there isn't much in common beyond names, really) I like them.

Selective Sensualist: I think I Am Legend totally counts!

Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead) anyone?

I love Shaun of the Dead and was surprised by how good Zombieland actually was. I've seen an innumerable amount of zombies movies. I grew up with them. The first Return of the Living Dead was entertaining, but the rest of them were lame.

I've seen all the movies in Romero's Dead series, I will not watch Survival of the Dead again...it's just embarrassing.

Zombie movies can go so terribly. These are my favourites, too.. but I'm seen a lot of bad ones including Pot Zombies and some sort of Special Ed Zombie flick. God, it was bad..

Oh and Fido!! Great one.

I'm a big fan of Left4Dead and Left4Dead2 video games, so my favorite zombie movie is Zombieland since it almost perfectly reflects the look and feel of those games. And yes, Shawn of the Dead is a great movie too.

Zombieland and Shawn of the Dead. Laughed hysterically through both of them. Oh man, now I want to watch Zombieland again. As far as serious zombie movies go, if I Am Legend is counting, then that one too. Oh man, I cry every time.

I like the Resident Evil movies, both live action, and Degeneration. I think there's another CGI RE movie coming out soon. I also like Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, and the Dawn of the Dead remake. The Walking Dead on A&E is also pretty good, though I forgot to set my DVR to record it and missed the last couple episodes.

Shaun of the Dead and Idle Hands are my favorite comedy zombie flicks.

Sadly, I missed the old school horror scene and I was never able to get into movies like Dawn of the Dead. My suspension of disbelief just didn't kick in the way it did with Shaun of the Dead.

I think I'm more into torture horror - Devil's Rejects is my all time favorite horror flick.
