Yeah, life is expensive. I'd stash it with my important, things-I-need-to-live expenses. I made my last purchase (about $35) entirely with points, and I tend to only buy what I *really* want anyway.

If I had a $1,000 right now, I wouldn't spend a cent of it on anything frivolous. I'd spend it on getting our own place (an apartment, obviously, or a rented house) and save the rest we didn't use for downpayments for future rents.
