All white or colored lights on YOUR Christmas tree?

I have multicolored lights on my tree and for me it's a case of less is NOT more. I love to have lots and LOTS of lights that stay on - don't like when they blink.

No neighbors - I live in a rural area.

My dream tree is a fake, uber tacky white tree that I can change the colour scheme of every year, but my family does coloured lights.

No one really puts up lights in my neighbourhood aside from the occasional bush-net of multis.

We have our tree up but haven't decorated it yet. I'd prefer just white lights, but I know my partner is going to want every colour light on the tree so I'll just let him have his fun

Ours is multi-colored this year. Every few years I tend to go all one color or maybe two colors. I did snow white angel and flakes not too long ago. Love changing the tree to always make it special.

I prefer white on the tree. We use lights that are little balls (spurring the name "ball-ball lights" from when one of our kids was a baby) I think all white looks nice with our eclectic mix of decorations on the tree. Everything from Victorian decorations to vintage 20s through the 60s to things our kids made when they were small all over the tree. We have no "theme" and we have so many tree decorations we have to rotate them every year.

Usually our neighborhood is a mix.

I have to say; I really do not like those LED lights. They look like someone left a TV on. That blue dim light does NOT say "Christmas" to me.

I like either colored or white lights BRIGHTLY shining.

We have multi colored. All white trees make me feel like I'm in a museum

We use milticolored lights, and out neighborhood doesn't really dress up anything fancy for xmas except 2-3 houses.

I just have a little foot-high tree that I put in the front window every year, and it has white lights. I like colored lights, too, though.

When I was younger we had a big six-foot high tree that we put together and did up in colored lights and gold garlands and lots of little ornaments every year. Sounds tacky, but it was really very beautiful. With it just being me and dad now, moving furniture and setting the whole thing up is just too much, but I miss that tree.

As for my neighborhood, among the few who do have outdoor decorations, it's pretty mixed. Some people have low-key white lights here and there, while others go completely all-out looking like they bought the entire Christmas section at Wal-Mart. (Or, as an acquaintance once said, "Christmas just pissed all over that house, didn't it?")

My tree has white lights, it is prelighted. I am an equal opportunity lighter though As for outside lights we don't have any. Sometimes we decorate the mailbox or bush or whatever but the roof is too high to be fumbling around with lights.

We have multicolored lights that have 8 different functions. Love that we get to choose if we want slow or fast flickering.

I prefer white over colored lights, but on most houses I'd rather have no decorations, they just end up tacky on so many houses.

I can't never resist the multi colors. I love bright colors, but have gone with only pink before and once went with just white. Sadly we only had time for a tiny Christmas tree at the last min. (We stole my partner's dad's mini tree right before our party started! Ha Ha.) We just didn't have time for one with all the crazy school projects and work lately. Usually I prefer bright and colorful though. I don't mind a lot of crazyness when it comes to lights, it's... creative. Lol.

We have a tiny tree, just big enough for a single 50 light strand. I like a solid color on a tree, no necessarily white.
