Anti-matter

Contributor: Airen Wolf Airen Wolf
Well ok so it's gonna take a while to get matter/anti-matter engines since according to the article, "It would take longer than the age of the universe to make one gram of antimatter" so ummm ya don;t have that long to wait! Still it's fascinating stuff. link

OH ya I completely understand, I was all like OMG they are going to be able to actually study ANTI-MATTER???? WHOA! Then Sigel and I had some scientific discussions about the implications and what a laser could do to anti-matter and the whole conversation devolved into a Star Trek discussion when Arch logged on. Great three way last night! Nerds on SKYPE!!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine FTL light before we even get into space...talk about life imitating Star Trek, No? Still it isn't possible right now, but then when I was my daughter's age computers took up a whole building just to flip a few switches. Amazing stuff.

As long as the government doesn't get involved, we might see it within the next century. Bureaucracies tend to slow scientific development way the hell down.

I never do for fear of unleashing the amazing levels of energy.

I also avoided hitting the "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" buttons on my tape player, but that was only to prevent the end of everything as we know it.

Never go above 88mph in an electrical storm when you have a flux capacitor in your Delorean, either.
