Yes and no. From time to time I will check local ads and other websites and print out/cut out coupons only for items I am already planning on buying. I refuse to buy crap just because there is a coupon for it. I generally try to only buy what I need and if there is a coupon for it then awesome.
I don't think coupons are for poor people, however those who are less fortunate do benefit the most from them. I honestly cannot stand people who are living fairly well, but go to a store with 20+ coupons and hold up the register line forever. Then they didn't bother to actually match product codes and numbers and then yell at the cashier like it's their fault. I could go on and on but it will turn into a big rant considering I work in retail and know what it's like on both sides of the fence. Most people don't bother to read all the details of a coupon and/or sale. Then when they make a mistake, or it is their fault, naturally they blame the employee lol. Sigh ok rant over I swear. Breathe in breathe out!
I send the CVS coupons I get to my card, other than that, no I don't. I've watched the TLC show though, and man, it's crazy. Even after watching the breakdown of the process, it's hard to wrap my mind around how it works.
i look around for coupons to use for online purchases occasionally, but other than that, i don't coupon. my mom has started to get really into it, though. last time i was home, she bought over $400 worth of groceries & only paid a little over $200.
We used to coupon more often last year and need to get back to it. It really does save money. If you're consistent on keeping good deals, you can regularly save 50% off your grocery bills.
I'm not an extreme coupon user, but I do get some from time to time on items I'd already be buying. I don't have a printer connected to the computer, so it's too much of a hassle to actually be a dedicated coupon user.
