The older I get (and I'm all of 28), the harder it seems to be for me to get my butt out of bed in the morning. It's not so bad once I get into the swing of things but Mondays are killing me right now. So are you one of those people that pops up out of bed with a smile on, or do we dare not approach you til about 11 a.m.?
Are you a morning person?

I'm an other....Tuesday through Friday I'm really not bad. Mondays you may not want to mess with me til I've had some time to get up and running.

I work best if I have an hour or two to wake up in the morning. I can't do the stay up all night thing anymore. I've never felt good about sleeping past noon either.

I saw a T Shirt that said, "I'm upright and out of bed. What else do you want?" That's about me in the morning. Although, I find, especially in the summer, I get up before the kids (I always wake up at about 4:30 with My Man, because it's one of the times we get to be alone) and do stuff on the computer, have breakfast in peace, listen to the world come awake etc.
I am not the best "going out and doing things" in the morning kind of girl, though.

I'm a perfectly fine morning person as long as I get a decent amount of sleep. If not I can be a little irritable in the mornings. Sleep is like a hug for my brain so I need it!

I love the caffiene then speak. LOL! That's me exactly. Don't even talk to me before I've had my coffee.

There is no life until coffee. I love the early morning before the house wakes up so I can enjoy my first cup alone.

That's definitely me on Mondays...and sometimes Tuesdays And I can get by on almost no sleep, especially since Rozerem no longer even works on me, but it's the getting up after 2 days of sleeping in that kills me. And I don't do coffee, so it's usually pepsi w/ breakfast on Mondays - horrible, I know!

I'm cheerful and ready to go, but where I go is to get coffee.

I'm not a morning person, but I also gave up coffee 2 years ago. I started to get migraines because I was so dependent on the caffeine.

Do you mean you drank less coffee than usual?

I used to be more of a morning person, years ago. Back then, I'd hop out of bed, stretch, do my push-ups and crunches and feel ready for the day. Was that really me? It's a strange thought. Later, my lifestyle allowed me to become nocturnal. If you see me here in the morning, it is because I have not slept. When I'm working at "normal" times, I still have a hard time, and am frequently late to work. Coffee might help if I had time to make it. No, not a morning person now.
08/16/2010
With the exception of today, I am rarely up in the morning. I am usually only up at night.
08/16/2010
I really prefer to sleep in - but like most cannot. I'm handicapped by the fact that I do not drink coffee - so I try for a nutritious breakfast with oatmeal and other low-glycemic foods to prevent the mid-morning blahs. It works pretty good, but now I need a mid-afternoon pick-me-up! 5-hr energy and something with protein - like a turkey or roast beef sandwich.

We were watching Avatar the other day and a dragon-like animal was doing all sorts of squacking and screeching and carrying on...
And my guys said...
"Hey, that looks like you in the morning!"
'Nough said.

I so NOT a morning person!

I am not a morning person at all. But if I get up early and am not rushed, I just drink my coffee and go about my usual routine I am ok.
08/16/2010
I've never been a morning person. I have coffee first thing of a morning and I prefer at least 1 1/2 hours to wake up and get my brain going. At my previous job I worked 7 PM - 3:30 PM, so starting my days at no later than 8 AM now takes quite an adjustment. I miss staying up late some days, but it can also be a lonely and boring time. But it sure is quiet!
08/16/2010
It's safer to approach me VERY late in the morning
08/16/2010
I use to be up at 6am everyday, and had asmile on my face. Since I got a new bed for my birthday, I don't get out of bed between 10 and 12, still with a smile.
08/16/2010
I can wake early no problem, but staying up is the hard part without my coffee. Once I have my coffee, I'm up and away.
08/16/2010
I've never been a morning person, even tho I work early mornings right now. It's not so bad once I'm actually up and out of bed, but it just drains me so much. On my days off however, if my fiance has to work, I don't get outta bed til around 11, lol
08/16/2010
I'm not a morning person at ALL. If I'm up before noon, it's a show-stopper.
08/16/2010
It really depends on the night before how I am in the morning. I'm never spunky in the morning but I'm usually not cranky at all either.
08/16/2010
Ime up by 5:30 everyday. If not earlier.

I went cold turkey. Decided it was healthier to not drink so much coffee every day and stopped it altogether. Now for the most part, I drink water and occasionally green tea. However, I occasionally will have a cup of coffee/cappuccino after dinner when at a restaurant as a treat.

It's the waking up part, no matter what time of the day ... just leave me alone for about an hour and you won't get a snarky retort.
08/16/2010
I don't like how coffee tastes and I'm usually too late for work to fix tea. But if I get like, 10 hours of sleep, I pop out of bed ready to go. Less than 5 hours and you can't wake me for anything.
