Are you dieting right now?

I have gained some weight recently, so I have been trying to eat less. And to make better choices when I do eat. I am more focused on making a lifestyle change, though -- I wouldn't call it a diet.

I don't believe in dieting. I'm just trying to limit my grains and sugars because I don't handle them well. But it has to do with health, not weight loss. If I happen to lose weight as a side benefit, great! The main thing is my health.

I go through spells when I realize that I should cook at home more often. The holidays are no fun, since there is stress and busyness to contend with. But now that things are settling down I remind myself to keep a mental count of calories, and train at the dojo more often. But my weight stays pretty regular.

i have to watch my sodium intake which means healthier foods, but it has less to do with weight and more to do with heart health.

Seems like I am always dieting, but now it is driven by work. Unless you meet goals they set, your insurance goes UP.

Unfortunaltely, diets are temporary. The best thing is to find a healthy lifestyle change that works for you, and that you can do for the rest of your life. Something that allows for beer and wine is always a good choice!!!!

I like to refer to mine as a life-style adjustment. It makes it more positive for me

I'm not really on a 'diet' since I eat much less than people would expect considering my size, but I am trying to get back into my warm weather workout frame of mind because I'm considering getting a mini trampoline.
I pretty much cease most actual exercise once the cold weather sets in because I can't exercise inside.

I'm just trying to eat healthy but I am tracking my food so I guess it could qualify as a diet. But it's not something I'm doing 'just for now, so I can loose weight' I'm re-learning healthy portions and proper nutrition along with pushing my physical fitness. It's a slow process, but it's important.
