Are you happy that Obama won?

Marginally. He's better than the alternative, but that's not saying much. America will still be involved in starting and perpetuating pointless wars around the world which never make anyone any safer. At least my gay friends in the States have a better chance of making some progress in the next 4 years, so that's something to be positive about.

I voted for Gary Johnson, actual change... rant, rant, rant. I was happy that this year the libertarian canadate doubled the amount of the popular vote captured for 2008 presidentail election (and may years prior), event if it only went from .4% to 1.0%

I grew up in Massachusetts and lived through Romney and Romney care. Obama's health reform is nearly identical to that. When it switched in Ma to mandated health care nothing changed for me since I carry my own private insurance. The only difference is that ALL health premiums have skyrocketed.
I also don't think that people realize that while Obama is for gay marriage he has also said he believes its a state to state issue not a federal issue which essentially means that unless it is permitted in your current state you will see no changes. Also the Social Security tax break that we all have been receiving is going away which I agree with. I didn't think it was advisable to cut funding initially while the largest generation of Americans are starting to tap into it. So no I am not too thrilled about the way the election went. I am also not thrilled that many Obama "fans" show such poor judgement in their treatment of others (not all but many.) I was called a racist recently by one Obama fan and that was enough to really enrage me. Last time I checked voting didn't make you racist it actually made you American! But then again ignorance is bliss!

I am glad Obama won!! I didn't want Romney in for the simple fact that I want to be the main one who says what goes on with my lady bits and to have my rights. I so saw all women's rights going out the window if Romney got into office.

Yes, I am. I am also proud of my state of Wisconsin. We just elected Tammy Baldwin to represent us in the US Senate. She is the first female we've elected for Senate, and she will also have the distinction of being the first openly gay Senator! The seat she held in Wisconsin's 2nd Congressional District is being taken over by another openly gay politician, Mark Pocan. Go Wisconsin!

I'm so, so, so relieved. I, like a few others have mentioned, wasn't totally thrilled with Obama like I was four years ago, but honestly - even if he's done some things I don't like, I have to admit he's done an overall good job ... more
And records showed Romney only had a dismal 34% approval rating by the end of his MA governorship.

I'm happy Obama wins reelection.

Yeah, I think we still have a lot of work to be done to get Obama to change things for the better, but I am so, sooooo happy Romney didn't win.

Although I think we can do way better than Obama, the very little I knew about Romney was negative. So yes I am satisfied with the winner. I didnt vote because I personally don't like either one. I basically just left it in gods hands. I knew that whatever was meant to happen, would happen. At the end it's all for the best. He knows exactly what he's doing and why he is doing it.

Thrilled. But I'm generally pretty informed on politics. I'm happy someone who believes in women won the election. We can't move backwards socially if we expect to move forward in any other area.
