Should of made a both option. I buy tons of cheap dvds. In my opinion the only blu rays worth buying are ones with high quality CGI or amazing special effects. I'm not going to watch a chick flick or something like that on Blu Ray. The other benefit to blu ray is the added special features. Which i never watch anyways haha

If we actually buy a movie, it's Blu-ray or a digital file. Since formats change so much, we gave-up owning movies long ago, and just rent.

I just got a new tv and blu-ray player. I'm definitely going to be going the blu-ray route!

Blu-Ray all the way, if possible. I have tons of obscure movies that I would love to see get the high def treatment.

I'm not a big movie person, I don't care about visuals so much unless they are VHS bad. Although, I like to go back to VHS for fun sometimes.

Every time I watch a Blu-Ray movie I get a headache. Not sure if my brain has a problem processing the quality or what, but I just can't deal. Plus, unless it's a digital or animated movie (Bugs Life, Disney etc) I find the movie looks 'fake'. Then again I'm blond.

Agreed, I still mostly use DVD or VHS even though I own a Blu-Ray player. I guess I just haven't gotten used to it yet.

I haven't been able to justify the expense of blu-ray yet. Still using old school DVDs.

Expense? Target and Walmart and Best Buy had several Blu-ray movies on sale for $4-$5 on Black Friday. I just bought Inception new online for under $4. Disney titles tend to cost the same, after coupon, as the DVDs.

It's probably the refresh rate on the TV. At 60 Hz, things are fine. It's when you're at +120 Hz, things get too smooth.

I still watch DVDs and even use my parents' VCR when I'm at home. There's a local Goodwill where you can by tapes for $1 a piece, so I haven't even quite moved on from that.

We've got a TON of DVDs, but any new movies/TV series we buy nowadays are Blu-ray. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, but the picture and sound quality more than make up for the price difference.

I'm not willing to pay extra for Blu-Ray, I can't really see as the difference is worth it.
