I suppose it depends? If they spend all of their time and money on a car it could for sure be a negative trait, but if they just are interested in cars and doing handy-man type fixes I suppose it's neutral.

Yeah, I'm the same as you, sweetpea. I am not into anyone who has a hobby that requires pretty much all their time/money/energy. That goes for guys who are into their cars, body building, etc.
Handy man type stuff would be fine, but not the major grease monkeys.

I don't care about cars. I love my fiance to death but sometimes he starts talking about cars, or working on cars and I'm just sitting here thinking "I don't care!" It's even worse when he is talking about working on a car or what is wrong with it or what makes this one nice, because 95% of the time I have NO clue what he is talking about. It's nice to have a guy that knows about that stuff though because he has saved me and my family a good bit of money by fixing things that he can so we don't have to go to a mechanic!
