I keep my cats indoors, but not to protect birds

I always kept mine inside to protect them. My vet had clued me in about the many threats to outdoor cats. But I had no idea how much of a threat domestic cats are to wildlife.

Here's a story about a brand-new study, showing that cats kill BILLIONS of animals each year in the US, making them the #1 most lethal species. I used to be in favor of TNR (trap, neuter, release) for feral cats, but not anymore.
