How Much Debt Do You Have? (Private Poll)

So I posted a question the other day about if there were any Dave Ramsey fans and still haven't seen any responses. I looking at this thread and it got me curious about what the average amount of debt people on Eden have. This does not include your house.

I like at home as a dependent and I don't use or own any credit cards, plus financial aid paid for my college, soooooo.... no debt. Yet.

My debt is small and not pressing. Old hospital bills and parking tickets.

We are able to pay off credit cards every month, so really, there's just our car payment, which has another few years.

I have the house and 2 more years on the car. Otherwise, we pay off our credit cards every month.

Are we including student loans? 'cause that's where all of my debt is.

Yes I would count them as debt. That's all that me and my wife have left now. About $12,000 worth. It's been a long journey but we're finally getting close to seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

I have an unusual position for my age, I don't really pay for much. My only debt is my last student loan. I hate it. I went to an incredibly expensive school and I didn't get much from it for my future. But I'm happy, that loan is almost gone. If I can get a decent job, it will be gone by the end of this year.

I've been VERY lucky. After going to a 4 year university, and onto masters I currently only have one student loan for about $5,000. That is all my debt.

I have never had credit card debt although I have had 12 credit cards (7 currently). I have very good credit and hope to never have to use them beyond what I can pay.

I have known too many people (or dated them lol) who were irresponsible or just plain dumb with their money while being young. Now they are paying for it...literally.

I have a little less than $20k overall but about $15k is what I still own on my truck. The other portion is credit cards and what I owe the IRS because the company I work for made an error last year that put me over $2k in debt to the government. While this may seem high to some, I live in a county with an extremely high cost of living and I have far less debt than most I know here. A lot of my friends and family members have had to leave because it's so difficult to get by here, and my boyfriend and I probably would've left by now if it weren't for his kids still being young. Unless you're making well over $100k/year or are willing to live in a less than desirable neighborhood, it's pretty rough and I see more people failing than surviving around me. I live in a town that is all working class and partially below the poverty level and still pay well over $1,000/month for a small privately owned 1 bedroom apartment - and it's the cheapest one I could find in town!!!

And a few thousand for my student loans, but less than $5000 after my four year degree. Thank you financial aid.

We are almost completely debt free, we have one more small loan to clear. We've had financial problems most of our married life and due to some REALLY hard work Sigel has almost got us clear. I am so proud of him. Arch is a stickler for paying off bills so it's a good balance.

Right now, just some stuff on the credit card that happened when a whole bunch of things went wrong at once and I didn't have the cash to cover it and didn't want to owe my mom money. I'll be proud to have the mortgage as a debt, because that means I'm not living with my mom or having her pay for me to live in an apartment or anything. Our wedding will be paid for with money we've been saving.

Way too much. Between my husband's student loans, our mortgage and our car loan, plus a few miscellaneous medical bills, we're in debt to the tune of $110,000 or so. *die*

I've been super lucky. My school has been paid for by the college. I live on my own, but my job is good enough to pay those bills. I owe my parents about 500 dollars for books. But I usually pay that back when I get my school money each semester. So again, I've been fortunate. When I graduate and start working on grad school though.. I'll be in debt I guarantee it.

Oh hmmm I forgot to add the car payment. If you add the car payment then we have much more debt then I chose. Besides that though we just have a few old medical bills and a little other debt.
