The decision takes into account many sources of information. The most important being the reviews by specific EF reviewers that I trust/relate to.

Yes! I just did a post about choosing b/w two colors of the same harness, black or red. Most people said black...and I found myself defending red and I realized I really wanted the red.

So, I might not go with the majority, but seeing what everybody thinks can definitely be helpful.

If it's something I really want, I will anyway. But it does help me choose if people explain their answer. Or may just get at a later date.

I get mad at times that the one I'm leaning the most towards nobody picks! So I just sit on it, then it's no longer in stock and I'm left wanting to kick my own damn ass!!!!

I don't always go with the most votes - especially if it's very expensive. I consider votes and reviews and personal preferences.

The reasons behind people choosing certain items will more often than not help influence my decision on what to get.

I don't post comparisons anymore, and I can't remember if I ever have...but if I did, it would influence my decision to some degree depending on the replies.

Usually I just read reviews on the items I would post a comparison about though and decide that way, the comparisons seem to annoy people sometimes.

I have only done it a couple of times and have went with the most suggestions on them. It is usually for something I really wanted as well.

Yes, it helps somewhat and then I go read more reviews just to be sure, lol.

Ultimately, the decision's mine. The members of this community have a vast pool of knowledge about toys in general (and a great deal of personal opinion) so polls have helped me make some decisions that have turned out great... and steered me away from things I wouldn't have liked.

It's definitely helpful, to the point where I'll scout it out or a post a discussion myself. But I don't let the poll results always be the decision
