About 2 weeks ago my hubby got a speeding ticket and earlier today we were talking about it and realized the cop did not give him a seat belt ticket, but I know he never wears it.

I want to know, how many people actually do?

I absolutely always wear it. It's safer, it's habit, and there's no reason not to.

When I was a little kid my mom told us the car wouldn't start unless we were buckled in. I didn't really believe her, but did it anyway, so I got in the habit real young.

I always wear mine too, but I didn't before this one day. A deer ran out in front of us and hubby had to slam on his breaks. I hit my head on the windshield and ended up bruised, but didn't go through it. I now wear my seat belt always.

I always wear my seatbelt, even if I'm just driving around the parking lot at the local shopping center or something. I've had too many friends killed in accidents to risk it.

Free EMT advice, if you are ejected from your vehicle, you are about 6x more likely to die from the accident as a result. So whatever the risk of dying may be as a result of wearing a seatbelt, it's one I am willing to take.

Here in China nope. Where I live it is not required and most cars have removed their seat belts. When I return to North America, yes of course I always wear my set beat. The first few drives I take I need to be reminded though.

I always wear my seat belt and if I'm in the car with other people, I make sure they are wearing their seatbelt too. I'm a bit of a safety nerd.
