If I'm home, I'll admit to it. But if it happens when we are out, I don't. I try my hardest not to fart in public, but I know you have those moments when you can't help it. I try and make it to the bathroom but if I can't, I can't. It's just some smelly air. lol hhahahahahahaha
My boyfriend on the other hand will fart and then wait to see if someone notices it and then says he sorry or he'll be like "I just farted". haha

If it can be heard or noticed, I'll own up, but if it is discreet or something, I never bother.
At home, we're pretty open about that sort of thing (seeing as how it's totally natural to do) so we aren't shy about it around each other.

If polite burps are socially acceptable why not passing gas?
I am one of those people who think farting is hilarious and fun. My nephew and I tell each other we love the other more than farting. But he's just turned five so it is still cute.
I'm usually the one who breaks the passing gas first in a relationship too much to the laughter of the man I am with.
It's great that China is so loud. No one hears anything and it is socially acceptable in most rural parts of China to fart without grossing people out. I get hushed and told I am rude for giggling, pointing and saying "that's only a two out of ten I think you could do better!"

If Im at work I will excuse myself into a private area.. but at home... Im the stinkmiser. Im not an asshole and cuff my farts and toss them at people but yeah I allow myself to fart and not hold it in.

It's part of our natural body system and how it works. I don't care how much people deny it...they do it. I read one time that the average persons fart 14 times a day.

I try not to fartin public as hard as I can but me and my gf are comfortable enough around each other to fart and laugh about it. We both have no problems with it.

I don't recall ever having to excuse myself when I have let one slip around mixed company, it mostly happens in the restroom. Which is kind of convenient...I've never given it much thought. We're also of the mind that should someone pass gas, it's not polite to call it out for fear of embarrassing them beyond repair. We'll just move upwind of the issue and continue on.
